Deadwood Dick - The most famous Black Cowboy
(1854 -) Nat Love was born a slave in Tennessee, moved to Dodge City and spent most of his time working in the dust and as a black cowpuncher driving cattle up the Chisholm Trail. Along with the Old West, he was overtaken by progress and technology and eventually took a job on the railroad as a Pullman porter.
