"The Civil War News cards came out when I was 10 years old during the Centennial of the Civil War. I had a whole cigar box full, but they got caught in a flood down the basement. They really put the hook in me. Now I'm a CW reenactor living in New Jersey. I paid a kings ransom for a set. Hard to believe they were a penny apiece when they came out."
